Salon Zen has been open since September 2004. It is a full-service salon and spa, offering men's and women's hair cuts, colors, nails, facials, waxing and massage therapy. We are proud to call historic downtown Norman home.
Studio Zen has been open since April 2006. It is a hair-only salon, offering men's and women's hair cuts and colors. We are located on Campus Corner, in a beautifully renovated location on Asp Ave.
Collectively, Zen has a staff of over 20 highly talented hair and beauty professionals ready to give you the look you've been searching for. Every one of our staff works tirelessly to satisfy each and every client who sits in their chair. Ashley Hardiman is a co-owner of Salon Zen and Studio Zen, as well as the Nail Pro at Salon Zen. She has been doing nails since 2005. She enjoys doing natural nail services the most, since manis and pedis are what encourage people relax and unwind. Ashley received certification as a Creative Nail Design Master Technician in 2006, and attends hands-on training and industry trade shows at least once a year to stay current on sanitation practices and trends in the nail business. She believes that not only should her clients have beautiful hands and feet, they should be educated on the products being used on them, and know with certainty that she is performing a safe, clean service. Sky Newell began doing hair in 2004. She specializes in colors and color corrections for natural and funky hair. She also loves to do mens and womens haircuts. She stays up-to-date on all techniques and styles with classes to continue her education. Stop in and let Sky tease and please you! Sally Simpson has been the Salon Coordinator at Salon Zen since 2008. Sally's smiling face is the first thing people see when they walk through the door. She makes everyone feel welcome at Zen! She loves all the girls there and has fun hanging out with them. She will do whatever it takes to make Salon Zen guests comfortable and relaxed while being pampered. Devon Stevenson became a hairstylist in 2004. She pays attention to detail, considers face shape, texture of hair, and skin tone when creating a look for her clients. She is very personable and easy to communicate with. She also enjoys chemical straighteners, spiral perms, and updos for any occasion as well as cuts and colors. Ashley Pitchlynn began doing hair in 2002. She has been with Salon Zen since they opened in 2004. She specializes in color for women and men. She loves cutting as well, because she can do it all! She pays attention to detail and really listens to what her clients want and need to make them happy. She does razor cuts, updos and works on all types of hair. Odella Keith has been a hairstylist since 2008. She specializes in womens haircuts and colors. She stays on top of the latest trends and techniques by continuing her education and never getting behind in the times. For a change you are sure to love, come visit Odella today! Leslie Miller has been doing her since 2008. She has been with Salon Zen since November 2008. She enjoys every aspect of both men's and women's hair. She specializes in naturally curly hair, and enjoys doing color. She loves encouraging your natural curl by keeping up-to-date with the latest styling techniques and products to eliminate unwanted frizz. If you need guidance to the right styling tool to tame your mane, Leslie is the girl for you! Robyn Henson has been an esthetician since 2002. She is licensed by the state of Oklahoma, and has had additional training in various areas of skincare in Las Vegas, NV; Dallas, TX; and the University of Buxton, United Kingdom. Her services include a wide variety of facials and body treatments with a European flare that will leave you relaxed and refreshed while providing optimal results. Vicki Lee discovered her talent for doing hair in high school after cutting friends and family members hair. A few years later, she decided to make a career of it and started hair school at Duncan Brothers School of Hair Design in 2006. After graduating, Vicki has since been happy with growing her clientele and continuing her education at Studio Zen. She is very versatile in what she does, specializing in everything from men's and women's cuts and color services to up-do's and is certified in Fusion Hair Extensions. She particularly enjoys cutting medium to short, spunky women's styles and mastering the art of color. Sean Johnson has a keen eye for men's and women's hair cutting, along with a strong drive toward gaining experience and knowledge about hair color. He discovered his talents in 2005, and has been with Zen since 2008. Tiffany Nguyen joined the Zen team in 2008. She loves doing hair and is always happy to listen to ideas and work with her client to get the desired look. She likes doing short cuts and color the most, but she does it all. Men, women, long, short...it doesnt matter, Tiff can take care of you! When not doing hair she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, shopping, reading, and sushi....yum. Aura Stuemky has been doing hair since 2004. She specializes in long hair and natural looking color. Aura is very thorough when creating a look for her client. In her free time she enjoys traveling, and spending time outdoors. Julie Nelson has been doing hair since 2005. She loves doing hair because she makes her clients look and feel their very best! She enjoys coloring and cutting equally because either way she gets to acheive the look her client has requested. When she's not working she's spending time with her beautiful little girl, Caiden.
